China Mobile's new 5G SIM cards have been tested, as its 5G plan subscribers reaching 10 million.
According to Wuhan Tianyu Information, when communicating with investors, it has completed the development of 5G SIM card products and participated in the operator's work on the formulation of technical specifications and test environment preparations for 5G SIM card products. The relevant products are currently being tested by China Mobile.
China Mobile previously stated that users do not need to replace the previous 4G SIM card to access the 5G network, and will also provide a new SIM card for the 5G network.
As of the end of February, the number of China Mobile's 5G base stations has exceeded 80,000, and the number of 5G package users has reached 10 million.
China Mobile accumulated 949.415 million mobile subscribers in January this year. Its first 5G operation data released in January showed that as of the end of January, the number of 5G package customers was 6.736 million.
5G package customers are individual mobile phone customers who subscribe to 5G tariff packages, excluding customers who have not subscribed to 5G packages and only share 5G package resources.
China's three major telecommunications operators stated on March 6 that by the end of February, 80% of China's 5G network construction had been implemented as planned.
At present, China Telecom and China Unicom have launched 5G co-construction and sharing in 31 provinces across the country, and officially launched 5G commercialization in more than 50 cities across the country.
