Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, is in the internal test of live voice function. Anchors will be able to get this feature after upgrading the Douyin to the latest version.
Douyin confirmed the new feature to the media and responded that live broadcast of Douyin Voice is currently in the testing phase.
"During the epidemic, I hope that through the enrichment and improvement of live broadcast functions, ordinary users can better communicate, get better content, and enrich their spiritual lives; SMEs can better communicate with their customers, improve transaction conversion, and overcome difficulties," the company said.
A video released by a Douyin user shows that the Douyin Voice Live entrance is located in the "Enable Live" functional area.
If the audience requests too much wheat, the anchor can click to create a chat room. There are currently 8 auditoriums in the chat room, supporting 8 audiences to chat online at the same time.
In addition, the live voice ribbon has three tabs: live video, game live, and live audio. Compared with live video games, the live voice feature is relatively small.
Currently, the live voice test section of the Douyin internal test only supports the Android system and does not support the iOS system for the time being.
