China's first 5G micro base station radio frequency chip, YD9601, has been successfully developed in Nanjing Yudu Communication Technology Co., Ltd., and is currently undergoing packaging testing, according to the Science and Technology Daily report.
5G base stations are divided into macro base stations and micro base stations.
Macro base stations are mainly used for outdoor coverage, and 5G micro base stations are mainly used indoors, with small transmission power (generally within 200 milliwatts), and are widely used in airport high-speed rail waiting areas, commercial places, schools, hospitals, park factories, and community homes.
5G micro base stations can effectively solve the capacity of indoor coverage areas (such as airports, high-speed rail and shopping malls) and coverage issues (such as commercial buildings and homes) at a lower cost.
"The 5G micro base station radio frequency chip project is an extension of our independently developed wired radio frequency broadband chipset." Prior to the launch of the 5G micro base station radio frequency chip, Yudu Communication had a long-term radio frequency chip technology by developing a wired radio frequency broadband HiNOC 2.0 chip accumulation.
HiNOC2.0 is China ’s next-generation wired RF broadband radio and television access standard. Nanjing Yudu HiNOC2.0 RF/baseband chipset can achieve a downlink rate of 600 megabits per second, which can be benchmarked with similar products from international giants.
In the standard test conducted by the Chinese Academy of Broadcasting Sciences, the devices equipped with this chipset can still be accessed with 85dB of line loss.
Compared with international products, the anti-attenuation ability is improved by about 10dB, which is more suitable for domestic complex and harsh network environments.
YD9601 not only covers the 700MHz radio and television frequency band, but is also compatible with the 3.3-3.4GHz telecommunication/Unicom/radio and television shared indoor frequency band that was just licensed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in early February.
