UNISOC, China-based supplier of mobile communications chipsets and IoT chipsets, on Wednesday released a new generation of 5G SoC TigerT7520, which uses the most advanced 6nm EUV technology of the current chip.
TigerT7520 is UNISOC's second-generation 5G SoC product, which has been improved in six aspects: technical process, communication capabilities, AI, visual capabilities, endurance capabilities, and security.
UNISOC CEO Chu Qing said at the conference that compared to the previous generation 7nm, 6nm EUV transistor density increased by 18%, which will enable the chip to integrate more transistors per unit area, reduce chip power consumption by 8%, and provide longer battery life.
In terms of communications, TigerT7520 is the world's first full-scenario coverage enhanced 5G modem. Supports Sub-6GHz frequency band and NSA/SA dual-module network, and supports 7G full-mode 2G to 5G netcom. In SA mode, the peak downlink rate exceeds 3.25Gbps.
TigerT7520 also supports leading dual-card dual 5G and EPS Fall back, VoNR high-definition voice and video calls.
It is worth mentioning that, based on UNISOC's innovative 5G super launch technology, it can increase the upload rate by 60% for the near point of the community, and solve the pain points that require greater uplink bandwidth for services such as enhanced VR and 4K/8K ultra high-definition video live broadcast.
AI has been recognized as an important application scenario for 5G. TigerT7520 integrates a new generation of NPU, has industry-leading mobile AI commercial maturity, supports the industry's mainstream ML training framework, provides a rich operator library, and implements full support for Android NN. Users can experience more diverse mobile AI applications.
In terms of taking pictures, the TigerT7520 is equipped with the sixth-generation image engine Vivimagic 6.0 independently developed by UNISOC and the second-generation 4K FDR (Full Dynamic Range) technology, which supports a 100-megapixel shooting capability and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.
In terms of battery life, power consumption in some data service scenarios has been reduced by 35%.
UNISOC will also launch Hisense F50, a 5G smartphone with Hisense mobile phones, which is equipped with the first 5G solution of the UNISOC Tiger T7510.
