Huawei today held a conference on new product solutions in London in 2020. During this period, Peng Song, President of Huawei's Operator BG Marketing and Solution Sales Department, delivered a speech and released the "5G Best Network" solution.
Peng Song said that operators' 5G commercial success should start with the best 5G network. It should have minimalist, intelligent, ultra-wide, green, and end-to-end AI capabilities.
Huawei releases latest 5G network solution: base station power consumption can be reduced by more than 15%
The best 5G network released by Huawei this time includes a series of product solutions including minimalist RAN, intelligent IP network, ultra-wide transmission network, green connection, and AI-enabled end-to-end 5G services.
Minimalist RAN can accelerate 5G deployment. It includes the industry's lightest third-generation Massive MIMO, the most integrated BladeAAU, and 400MHz ultra-wideband AAU.
It can cope with the three major pain points of engineering installation, difficulty in obtaining sites, and fragmentation of spectrum, helping operators quickly deploy 5G.
The third-generation Massive MIMO supports 64T64R, which is lightweight and easy to deploy; BladeAAU achieves active and passive integration of all frequency bands below 6GHz, which greatly reduces site acquisition time; Ultra-wideband 400MHz AAU, leading the industry generation;
The intelligent IP network is the industry's first to support promised SLAs. Assisting IP networks from Best-effort to SLA promises transformation. FlexE flexible slicing supports the industry's highest 1Gbps slicing accuracy, which is more than 5 times the industry's ability.
It cooperates with NCE, based on SRv6, the first time on the IP network can be committed to delay, and based on iFIT to provide minute-level fault location to create a highly available network;
Ultra-wide transmission network, this 800G module is the industry's first launch. Supports the industry's largest single-fiber 48T transmission capability, which is 40% higher than the industry's capability, and the transmission network truly realizes smooth evolution facing the next 10 years;
Green connection reduces power consumption at 5G sites. 5G AAU uses a highly integrated self-developed chip, which reduces power consumption by more than 15%; AI enables PowerStar solutions to achieve multi-standard and multi-band collaboration, and further reduces the overall power consumption by 15-20%
AI enables 5G end-to-end delivery. In this way, AI is introduced to the full lifecycle management of 5G, making network planning based on user experience more accurate; network construction is more agile and higher quality; user experience issues are processed faster; user-oriented business marketing is more accurate.
"The best 5G network released today is just the tip of Huawei's innovation iceberg. Huawei's continuous investment in basic theory, materials, algorithms and other aspects will continue to bring leading product solutions to the industry," Peng Song said.
