Tesla shares surged 7.53% to reached $923 in pre-market trading after a more than 7% gain on Tuesday.
Yesterday Tesla's stock price rose again by 7.3% to 858.4 US dollars. Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas raised Tesla's most optimistic target price from 650 US dollars to 1,200 US dollars, which basically doubled.
Adam Jonas also raised both the basic target price and the most pessimistic target price, raising the basic target price from $360 to $500 and the most pessimistic target price from $115 to $220.
The most optimistic target price is based on a "radical assumption" that Tesla will deliver 4 million vehicles by 2030, accounting for 30% of the global electric vehicle market.
