Chinese smartphone maker OPPO said today that it will take part in the 2020 World Mobile Communications Conference as scheduled. Earlier, Vivo confirmed its planned exhibition and release activities at the MWC 2020 were cancelled due to the ongoing new coronavirus epidemic.
OPPO said that after careful preparation and self-assessment, OPPO decided to participate in MWC 2020 as scheduled and bring the latest products and technologies during the event.
All OPPO employees from China will be quarantined for 14 days in the local area and ensure that there are no symptoms before the exhibition. During this period, all employees report and confirm their health status daily, the company said.
OPPO conference venue, conference room, MWC venue exhibition area, exhibition equipment and shuttle vehicles will be regularly disinfected, it said.
OPPO said it hopes to show our latest technology to users and customers as 2020 is the first year of the popularity of 5G and the MWC is the most important stage in the industry.

Since GSMA announced that the current exhibition will be held from February 24 to 27, 2020 as scheduled, OPPO, after careful preparation and self-assessment, decided to participate in MWC 2020 as scheduled and bring the latest products and technologies during the event.
