In August last year, a twitter user discovered special processors such as i7-1068NG7 and i5-1030NG4. The conventional models have no "N" suffix. Now, latest data shows that Intel's "NG" series processors are designed for Apple MacBooks.
According to the latest 3DMark test scores, an Apple device is equipped with an i3-1000NG4 processor, two cores and four threads, a main frequency of 1.1GHz, and a maximum core frequency (full core) of 2.3GHz, which is the same as Intel's official i3-1000G4.
The difference between i3-1000G4 and i3-1000NG4 is the package. The former uses BGA1377, while the latter uses BGA1044.

It can be seen that although Intel's 10nm Y-series i5 and i7 are upgraded to 4 cores and 8 threads, Apple will still launch a dual-core i3 MacBook Air.
