In December, Microsoft introduced the ability to make and receive calls through the "Your Phone" app for Windows Insiders users. Now Microsoft officially launches this feature for Windows 10 users.
The Microsoft Your Phone app works on all iOS and Android phones, but the app performs better on high-end Android phones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.
The phone gallery function in the app has also been optimized, and users can now interact with their phones using a touch screen on their PC.
One of the app’s more useful features is the ability to view and save copies of the most recent photos on your phone, but this have one particularly annoying limitation.
Previously the app could only display the last 25 photos on the phone, which wasn’t of much use to most people.
After a spot of A/B testing, Microsoft has removed this restriction and you can now use the app to view 2,000 of your most recent photos.
The app has also added support for dual SIM cards, new message notifications, battery status and wallpaper PC visibility functions and stylus, as well as support for cross-device copy and paste functionality.
To get started you just need to install the Your Phone app on your PC if you haven’t already, and then install the Your Phone Companion app on your Android device. In the mobile app, sign in with your Microsoft account details and then finish the setup.
