POCO X2, the first smartphone by the POCO brand after it became independent from Xiaomi, will be released on February 4 at an event in New Delhi.

POCO India revealed the information on twitter while unveiling a website announcing the launch, which showed a few key details about the upcoming smartphone.

The charging render on the website shows another headphone jack at the bottom, which confirms that the first render might actually just be an attempt to keep the POCO X2โ€™s design under the wraps.

On January 16, cnTechPost mentioned that Xiaomi POCO X2 appeared on GeekBench website with a single-core score of 547 points and multi-core score of 1767 points.

GeekBench information shows that Xiaomi POCO X2 is equipped with Qualcomm 8-core processor (basic frequency 1.80GHz), uses Android 10 operating system, and is equipped with 8GB RAM.

This is the first time we have seen news about Xiaomi POCO X2. However, some media reported that this phone is suspected of an overseas version of the Redmi K30.

On January 17, Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi Global Vice President and Xiaomi India's Chief Business Officer, announced that the POCO brand operates independently.

Manu Kumar Jain said that POCO started as a sub-brand within Xiaomi, now it has grown into its own identity.

POCO F1 was an incredibly popular phone. We feel the time is right to let POCO operate on its own, he said.
