China-made programming language Mulan was officially released as the "C language for the intelligent IoT era" on January 15, according to a laboratory under the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Mulan is the abbreviation of Module Unit Language and echoes an ancient story popular in China.
The programming language is for intelligent IoT applications, using the latest design concepts and compilation technologies, the State Key Laboratory of Computer Architecture, Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences said.
At the same time, the team has launched the Mulan open source software package for global users to download and obtain for free.
The Mulan programming language was developed by the compilation technology team of the State Key Laboratory of Computer Architecture of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The team has been deeply involved in the field of programming languages and compilers. The Mulan programming language system released on the same day is the team's latest achievement.
Team leader Liu Lei said that programming languages are two major systems software in the information technology and operating systems, and the ecological environment of the information technology industry is often established from the programming language, according to China News Network.
Mulan is a programming language designed, developed, and implemented completely by the Chinese Academy of Sciences computing team, and the supporting compilers and integrated development tools are also completely implemented by the team.
