The Redmi K30 5G also supports a very high refresh rate of 144Hz, Lu Weibing, vice president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of Redmi brand, said on Monday.
Lu Weibing said on Weibo, "Coincidentally, Redmi K30 (5G version) was tuned to support 144Hz in the laboratory today."
Redmi K30 5G uses a screen that supports a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is not known whether what Lu said means it will support a refresh rate of 144Hz in the future.
Lu's remarks seems to be a response to what Chinese phone makers OnePlus and Nubia had said earlier.
Pete Lau, founder and CEO of OnePlus, said earlier on Monday afternoon that OnePlus has completed the development of a 120Hz screen.
Soon after this, Ni Fei said that the 144Hz of Red Devil 5G was just debugged while referring to Lau on Weibo. He also released a screenshot of the screen refresh rate option of Red Devil 5G gaming phone.
