After OnePlus CEO Pete Lau announced that OnePlus has completed the development of 120Hz screens, OnePlus held a media event today, detailing OnePlus' investment in 120Hz screens.
In the past year of 2019, 3 out of 4 smartphones sold on JD.com equipped with 90Hz screens are OnePlus phones.
According to OnePlus, OnePlus' 120Hz screen will use OLED material, 2K+ resolution, and use the exclusive "Smooth Chain" full chain method to tune this screen.
Its screen touch sampling rate reaches 240Hz, which is the fastest response screen in the industry.
In addition, OnePlus uses the technology of MEMC motion compensation on high-end TVs and a built-in independent MEMC chip, which can improve low-frame content up to 120 frames.
In terms of color display, OnePlus' 120Hz screen can achieve 10bit display effects, including 1.07 billion colors, and the color segment is more uniform and natural. The number of display colors is 64 times that of the Samsung Note 10+, iPhone 11 Pro Max, and OnePlus 7 Pro screens.
At the same time, OnePlus is the first manufacturer outside of Apple to calibrate the color standard of all mobile phones. Its screen color standard JNCD <0.8 is lower than the iPhone 11 Pro Max's JNCD <0.9 and the display is more accurate.
In addition, OnePlus has adopted a new brightness sensor with an automatic brightness adjustment level of 4096 levels. In terms of color temperature, the latest ambient light sensor is used to adjust the screen color temperature to the most suitable for the current environment.
OnePlus claims that this screen will be the top 120Hz screen.
