The sources revealed that the supply of this Mate Xs screen will still be based on BOE and the folding screen will be less difficult to produce than the first generation. They said the output will also increase so prices are lowered and supply will increase.
Earlier Huawei said that after the launch of the Mate X in the Chinese market, the monthly sales volume was more than 100,000 units. This 16,999 yuan device is very popular.
Samsung also said recently that it has sold 400,000 to 500,000 Galaxy Fold smartphones.
As for the details of the Mate Xs, industry chain sources revealed that it has made many adjustments in the design, such as a more stable hinge, higher durability, a more foldable screen, a relatively small body, and easier portability.
At the same time, after collecting some problems in the use of the first generation users, Huawei improved the system's adaptation to the folding screen, which also paved the way for a wider range of sales.
In fact, Richard Yu had clearly stated that Mate Xs will be released in February this year, which will have a better hinge design, a better processor and a better folding screen.
In other words, compared to Mate X, Mate Xs will have better hinges, a stronger display and a Kirin 990 5G processor.
According to He Gang, president of Huawei ’s mobile phone product line, Huawei has long been developing the Mate Xs, which will be equipped with the Kirin 990 5G processor, and is expected to go on sale in March next year.
It should be noted that industry chain sources also mentioned that Samsung Display will change the internal direct supply model and officially sell folding OLED panels to the outside world, and Huawei will become the second customer of Samsung Display's folding mobile phone panels.
In addition, industry chain sources also revealed that Huawei has prepared a second folding screen phone this year, which is expected to be launched in the second half of this year.
