The stocks of ArcherMind Technology, parent company of China-made Unity Operating System's (UOS) developer, rose by the daily limit of 10 percent in China after reports that Union Tech has reached in-depth cooperation with Huawei.
However, ArcherMind later issued an announcement to clarify that Union Tech is still in its early development stage and there is no "substantial deep cooperation" with Huawei as media reports had claimed.
The company said it has noted reports that the company's shareholding subsidiary Union Tech is a "new flagship of a domestic operating system" and so on. However, as of now, the shares of Deepin Tech have not been delivered to Union Tech.
ArcherMind also said that Union Tech products are positioned as Linux-based desktop and server operating systems, etc., and the statement of "forward-looking development of next-generation tablet, computer, and touch screen intelligent computing device operating systems" is not accurate.
Regarding the report that Union Tech is "the largest operating system R&D team in China", the company has not compared the size of related teams and cannot confirm whether it is true.
