China's Hisense to release the world's first color e-ink phone

Chinse tech company Hisense will release the world's first color e-ink reading mobile phone at CES 2020, the company said Tuesday on Weibo.

The Hisense color e-ink reading mobile phone will be released on January 7, 16:00 local time in Las Vegas in the US.

Hisense's first color e-ink screen reading mobile phone may mean that the color e-Ink screen has become matured. In the future, we can expect more manufacturers to launch color versions of electronic paper books.

Previously there were only black and white e-ink phones.

On December 16, Tencent released its new generation of Koudaiyue e-reader. It uses a 5.2-inch ink screen and is equipped with 2GB of memory and 16GB of storage.

The device measures 145 × 75 × 8.5mm, weighs 130g, is equipped with a quad-core A53 CPU, has 36 reading lights and 284PPI screen pixel density, built-in 2000mAh battery, equipped with a Type-C interface, supports touch page turning and Page up and down physical keys.
