Huawei's new generation P series flagship phone, the Huawei P40, will be released in March this year. It was previously reported that it will be available in two versions, the P40 and P40 Pro. Now, according to Twitter user Teme (特米) (@RODENT950), it may also offer a lite version.
In recent years, many popular mobile phones have added a low-end lite version to the previous dual versions in order to be more accepted by more potential customers.
If Huawei P40 series adopts this strategy, then more users with limited affordability can also purchase this flagship series of phones.
Huawei P40 series will use a paunch-hole screen design, of which P40 and P40 lite will use a straight screen design, while P40 Pro will use a curved screen design, according to previous reports.
The P40 and P40 Pro will be equipped with Kirin 990 chip and external Baron 5000 baseband. They all have a 32-megapixel front camera, a 40-megapixel rear camera, a 20-megapixel super wide-angle camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera, and a TOF Leica camera.
The P40 Pro will have a rear Leica 5 camera module that supports 10x optical zoom.
The new Huawei P40 series will be unveiled in March this year. It will use a "never seen" design with better camera quality and better performance, according to Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei's consumer business.
