On Geekbench 5, the new MacBook is equipped with macOS 10.15.3 system. From the model "ICLRVP1,1", it can be determined that it is an Intel Ice Lake processor.
This processor is 4 cores and 8 threads, clocked at 800MHz, and is equipped with 8GB of LPDDR4 memory.
In the third quarter of this year, Intel launched a 10nm mobile processor product line, including the 10nm Y series.
Taking i5-1030G7 as an example, this processor is 4 cores and 8 threads, the main frequency is 800MHz, the core frequency is 3.50 GHz, and the TDP is 9W, which is 2W more than the previous generation.
If Intel 10nm processor is used, the new MacBook Air will support Thunderbolt 3 interface and Wi-Fi 6. At the same time, doubling the number of cores and larger TDP will also bring performance improvements. The support of high-frequency LPDDR4 memory will also improve transmission performance and save power.
