China's Loongson says its chip shipments exceed 500,000 in 2019-CnTechPost

The shipments of China-made Loongson chips has made it to more than 500,000 units in 2019, Hu Weiwu, chairman of Loongson Technology, said that at the launch event of Loongson 3A4000/3B4000 on December 24.

He said that with the increase in market demand, Loongson's partners have increased to nearly 1,000, and Loongson-based developers have reached tens of thousands of people. Loongson has been widely used in government, security, finance, energy, transportation and education fields.

At the press conference, Loongson's important partners, including Lenovo, Inspur Information, Tongfang, Beyond CNC, Founder, Haier released desktop computers, notebooks, all-in-ones, servers based on Loongson 3A4000/3B4000, Cloud terminal, network security equipment and other products.

In addition, hundreds of Loongson partners also exhibited hundreds of Loongson chip-based solutions and provided experiences in the interactive experience area.

According to Hu, the 3A4000's general-purpose processing performance is comparable to AMD's 28nm process final product "Excavator" processor, marking that after 20 years of hard work, Loongson's general-purpose processing performance has reached the world-class level at the product level.
