China Unicom and Guoxin Micro released a 5G super SIM card on December 23, with a retail price of 99 yuan for a 32G card and 199 yuan for a 64G card. Now, China Unicom says it will start selling them on e-commerce platforms in a week.
This 5G super SIM card is available in 32G/64G versions with a retail price of 99 yuan for a 32G card and 199 yuan for a 64G card.
China Unicom also launched the "Super SIM Card Upgrade" program in Guangzhou. Users who recharge 120 yuan can upgrade to a 32GB 5G super SIM card. Users who recharge for 240 yuan can get 64GB 5G Super SIM Card.
There are three types of operations common in mobile phones in the current market, namely "dual nano card slot", "dual nano + memory card slot" and "single nano + nano/storage composite card slot". The 5G super SIM card can be adapted to "single nano + nano/storage composite card slot".
Therefore, 5G super SIM cards currently support limited terminals, and some flagships with dual nano card slots do not support them for the time being.
The Super SIM card has a high-speed interface and adds SIM contacts to the memory card form. It is a new type of SIM card that supports both communication functions and large-capacity storage functions.
Guoxin Micro said that the 5G super SIM card is fully compatible with 5G/4G/3G/2G networks, and integrates the functions of the memory card and the SIM card to achieve the dual function of one card supporting SIM and storage expansion.
