The new Xiaomi mobile phone patent shows a flip-type foldable phone with a pop-up camera, according to letsgodigital.
The patent application was approved in 2018, December 6, 2019, and was included in the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) database.
The patent description is short, and Xiaomi has filed a patent for a clamshell foldable phone with a pop-up camera. Dual rear cameras plus a flash, the area around the camera can also display notifications.
From the schematic diagram of the patent, the phone uses a flip-type folding screen design. When the phone screen is opened, the entire screen is in a "full screen" state. If you need to take a selfie, you can raise the front camera.
When the phone is in the folded state, the rear camera area can also serve as a small screen to display short notifications, etc.-from this point of view, the rear camera should be a punch camera. It should be noted that this is only a patent and does not mean that Xiaomi will launch a mobile phone of this design.
