At the I/O Developer Conference held in May this year, Google announced the latest Digital Wellbeing feature-- Focus Mode on Android phones. After months of beta testing, this new feature has been made available to more users.
As the name implies, once the mode is enabled, the interruption of the application can be paused, allowing you to focus on what you want to do.
In the "Ways to disconnect" directory set by Digital Wellbeing, Focus Mode will prompt you to "choose apps that will distract you."
After selection, whether from a page or a new shortcut setting method, these applications are grayed out and inaccessible, and related notifications are silent.
After enabling this mode, those user-disabled application icons will turn black and white and prompt you that "Focus Mode is on". You can choose to set 5 minutes, 15 minutes, or 30 minutes.
You can temporarily disable all "digital health" features Set up the app to regain access and see notifications.
At the end of October Xiaomi was testing Focus Mode on the MIUI.
The feature effectively turns your Xiaomi smartphone into a brick during which the company hope you can really focus on what your are doing.
Once Focus Mode on MIUI is enabled, the user can only make emergency calls, take photos and answer phone calls.
You can choose from 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes for the โFocus Modeโ to be on. But once you have chosen one, there is no regret button.
