Starting from the Redmi K30, Xiaomi's 5G phones all support SA and NSA dual-mode 5G, Lin Bin, the co-founder and vice chairman of Xiaomi announced on Weibo on Monday.
Redmi K30 will be released on December 10. It will be the first 5G mobile phone under Redmi brand and is the first dual-mode 5G mobile phone in the Xiaomi series.
In addition to the Redmi K30, Xiaomi will also debut a number of 5G phones next year. Earlier at the Xiaomi Developer Conference, Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi, chairman and CEO of the Xiaomi Group, revealed that Xiaomi will launch at least 10 5G phones in 2020.
Lei Jun said that 5G + AIoT constitutes the next generation of the super Internet. With the advent of 5G, the low latency, high speed, and wide connection characteristics of 5G can promote the rapid development of more industries, especially in smart home, 4K, 8K High-definition video, AR, VR and other fields.
Lei Jun also emphasized that 5G is a major opportunity for the smartphone market, and there will be a significant wave of growth next year.
