Xiaomi 9, released at the beginning of this year as Xiaomi's last cost-effective smartphone, has just ended its lifecycle.
Only 9 months since Xiaomi 9 was released in February this year, the device has recently been removed from Xiaomi online store, making it the shortest-lived flagship phone in Xiaomi's history.
The phone was highly welcome for quite a well and was also known as one of the best phones to equip with the Snapdragon 855 chipset.
However, as newer phones have been released, searching for โXiaomi 9โ on Xiaomi online store only returns products including Xiaomi 9 Pro 5G and Xiaomi CC9 Pro.
It is worth noting the Xiaomi CC9 Pro is equipped with Snapdragon 730G processor with a price tag of more than 3,000 yuan, higher than 2,699 yuan for Xiaomi 9.
Xiaomi had said that in the future, Xiaomi will maintain a brand image that focuses on high-end products and will draw a clear line with its own price-effective Redmi brand.
