The Honor Band 5 NFC firmware has been updated recently, with the latest version 1.1.0.120 supporting access cards.

It is worth noting that this function is only supported by the NFC version, and Huawei Sports Health App needs to be updated to 10.0.1.521 and above.

The access card function can be enabled here in settings: Mine-Lab-Door Key.

In addition to supporting access cards, the latest firmware also optimizes the music control experience and fixes some internal known issues.

If you want to update, you need to pay attention to:

  1. Please keep the power of your Honor Band 5 above 20% before OTA upgrade;
  2. The upgrade time is about 20 minutes. After the app shows 100%, the band will continue to upgrade. Please wait patiently;
  3. Please keep the Bluetooth connection during the upgrade process. If the upgrade fails, please try again.

Huawei Honor Band 5 NFC main features include:

  • 0.95-inch AMOLED Color Display
  • Blood Oxygen Level Sensor
  • 24*7 Heart Rate Monitoring Sensor
  • Sleep Monitor NFC
  • NFC Function
  • 10 Different Sports Modes
  • 14 Days Battery Life
  • 50 Meters Water Resistant

Honor has been in the wearables market for several years and has already launched five generations of smart bands.

Although Huawei's share of the smartphone market exceeds Xiaomi, it lags behind Xiaomi in the smart band market.

Canalys data shows that in the third quarter, Xiaomi's smart band share reached 27%, ranking first in the world. Apple ranked second with a share of 15%, and Huawei ranked third with a share of only 13%.
