Google is also optimizing Focus Mode features on the stock Android system as last week cnTechPost reported that Xiaomi was testing the feature that turns your phone into a brick in order to make you focus.
Focus Mode is a toggle that blocks access to selected apps to eliminate distractions.
It was unveiled at Google I/O earlier this year, but in its current implementation, the feature is fairly basic as it can only be manually toggled from within Digital Wellbeing or from a Quick Settings tile.
However, according to XDA Developers, two new Focus Mode features were enabled in the latest Digital Wellbeing beta that should make it more useful.
The first is a scheduling feature, as per XDA:
Once this feature goes live, youโll be able to choose a start and end time as well as the days of the week during which you want Digital Wellbeing to automatically enable Focus Mode.
About a minute before entering Focus Mode, Digital Wellbeing will post a notification asking if youโre โready to focus.โ You can either wait a minute to let Focus Mode automatically start, or you can tap on the โwaitโ action to postpone Focus Mode for 10 minutes.
Once Focus Mode starts, the notification text updates to tell you when itโll automatically turn off. The Focus Mode Quick Setting tile also shows scheduling information in the subtext.

The second Focus Mode feature is called โTake a Breakโ, which lets users take a 5, 15, or 30 minute-long break from Focus Mode.
Thereโs not much of a point in taking a break when manually toggling Focus Mode, but it may come in handy when youโve set up a schedule that you generally want to stick with but simply canโt at the moment.

It seems Xiaomi was working on the second feature according to a previous cnTechPost report.
In Xiaomiโs settings, users can choose from 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes for the โFocus Modeโ to be on. But once you have chosen one, there is no regret button.
