Huawei considering to set up R&D center in South Korea-CnTechPost

Chinese tech giant Huawei is considering to establish a research and development center in South Korea after having set up its first 5G Open Lab.

South Korean media inews24 reported Huawei's decision will be made in the first half of next year.

South Korea accounts for only 0.4 percent of Huawei's revenue, but it is one of the most important markets where Huawei get its supplies.

In the past four years, Huawei's purchases of parts from South Korea have reached 25 trillion Won. Last year alone, the amount was as high as 12 trillion Won.
