- Shanghai-based Agibot has produced its 10,000th humanoid robot, reaching the milestone a quarter ahead of schedule.
- The Chinese startup captured 39% of the global market share in 2025.

Chinese startup Agibot saw its 10,000th humanoid robot roll off the assembly line on Monday, marking a victory in the global manufacturing race.
Agibot announced the milestone on Weibo. The 10,000th unit to roll off the line is the company's newly released Expedition A3 series, which was launched in mid-February this year.
The company's production pace has exceeded previous market expectations, coming just one quarter after it officially announced the roll-out of its 5,000th robot. The latest development means Agibot has achieved its production target a full quarter ahead of its original schedule.
Peng Zhihui, co-president and CTO of Agibot, said at a roll-out ceremony that robots will become as ubiquitous as smartphones in the future, serving as humanity's most capable physical companions.
Total global shipments of humanoid robots reached approximately 13,000 units in 2025, according to a report by market research firm Omdia.
With annual deliveries exceeding 5,100 units, Agibot captured 39% of the global market share.
Despite being an early front-runner in the humanoid robot sector, Tesla has fallen behind Chinese competitors like Agibot in product commercialization and mass production pacing. Tesla CEO Elon Musk had previously set a target of mass-producing 10,000 units.
During an earnings call in late January, Musk said that Tesla's biggest competitors in the humanoid robot space would emerge from China, noting the country's exceptional capabilities in scaled manufacturing.
