- Alibaba established the Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) business group, directly led by the company's CEO.
- This marks Alibaba's most significant structural adjustment since the consolidation of its e-commerce group.

Alibaba has established a new business group to manage its AI operations in response to the rapid changes of the AI era.
The Chinese e-commerce giant announced on Monday the creation of the Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) group, directly led by Group CEO Eddie Wu, according to multiple local media reports citing an internal letter.
Alibaba has reorganized and integrated its business structure around token, marking its most important structural adjustment since the consolidation of its e-commerce business groups, Huxiu reported on Monday.
The acronym of ATH also carries an interesting meaning: while it stands for Alibaba Token Hub, it can also serve as a metaphor for "All Time High," Huxiu noted.
The ATH group brings departments including the Tongyi Lab, the MaaS business line, Qwen, Wukong, and the AI Innovation Division under a single framework, aiming to tackle the fierce competition of the AI agent era with more concentrated firepower.
The core goal of the group is to create, deliver, and apply tokens. It also aims to enhance strategic synergy among various departments and strengthen their ability to boost productivity through AI, according to Huxiu.
Meanwhile, Alibaba's Wukong Division, which targets an AI-native enterprise workspace platform, made its debut on Tuesday.
The Wukong AI agent platform will be built into DingTalk, focusing on integrating large model capabilities into the daily workflows of enterprises.
To accelerate its internal AI transformation, Alibaba has begun providing employees with free token quotas.
Employees can use paid AI tools like Wukong for free, and can also be reimbursed for purchasing Alibaba's own Coding Plan memberships or external AI development tools, according to a Tuesday report by another local media outlet, Jiemian.
