Relaunching CnTechPost

Relaunching CnTechPost

Dear Readers,

Today, we are thrilled to announce an important decision: CnTechPost is officially relaunching.

For our long-time friends who have been following us, the name CnTechPost might sound familiar.

As a sister site to CnEVPost, CnTechPost originated in late 2019, initially just as a side project for founder Phate Zhang.

Its inception stemmed from a simple dream: to introduce the dynamics and industry breakthroughs of Chinese tech companies to English-speaking readers in a timely and accurate manner.

In late 2020, with the explosion of China's electric vehicle industry, we founded CnEVPost, which focuses on this sector, and Phate began to devote more energy to this new site.

By mid-2021, as it became too difficult for our small team to maintain high-quality updates for both sites simultaneously, we had to make a tough decision — to suspend the operation of CnTechPost.

Over the past five years, Phate and his small team have poured all their efforts into the Chinese EV sector. Our hard work has been recognized, and CnEVPost has now become one of the go-to sources for global English readers, major Western media outlets, and industry professionals seeking information on China's EV industry.

Now, as the operation of CnEVPost has become mature and stable, our team is also steadily expanding. We have added an experienced full-time writer proficient in English with expertise in the tech industry supply chain.

With more resources and energy at our disposal, we believe: it is time to relaunch CnTechPost.

CnTechPost is the starting point of our dream to introduce Chinese technology to the world. After five years of successfully operating CnEVPost, we have gained a much deeper understanding of how to run a professional, globally-oriented tech media outlet.

During its startup phase from 2019 to 2020, CnTechPost was a purely interest-driven project. Its coverage was extremely broad, encompassing hardware, software, science, major corporations, frontier technologies, and even health.

With this relaunch, we will undergo an important transformation:

The relaunched CnTechPost will no longer be a general tech blog driven merely by personal interest. Instead, like CnEVPost, it will serve industry observers, analysts, investors, and decision-makers through professional reporting.

This means our reporting will be more focused, delving into the core content that could impact industry trends, technological directions, and capital market performance.

We are committed to helping everyone who follows China's tech development bridge the gap of language and geography, enabling them to grasp the most cutting-edge developments firsthand.

CnTechPost and CnEVPost utilize the exact same technology stack and theme, although its logo has been updated.

While pursuing professionalism, we will also steadfastly maintain our objectivity, as always.

We never seek commercial cooperation with the companies we cover to avoid any potential conflicts of interest; nor do we accept any form of external investment.

To date, our small team's revenue comes solely from Google ads and subscription fees from our secondary site, CnEVData. In the foreseeable future, CnTechPost's revenue will come exclusively from Google ads.

Therefore, we make a sincere request to our readers: please do not use ad blockers on our site. Not blocking our ads is the greatest support you can give to our independent reporting.

We know well that restarting a journey requires constant listening and improvement. We welcome any form of suggestions, news leads, or feedback. You can always email Phate at: [email protected].

Thank you for your past support, and we look forward to continuing this journey with you in the new chapter of CnTechPost.
