Chinese humanoid robot manufacturer Unitree unveiled its new quadrupedal robot, the Unitree As2, on Tuesday. Highlighting ultra-long endurance and harsh-environment adaptability, the robot further expands the company's product portfolio.
Unitree As2 is equipped with a high-capacity battery, offering over 4 hours of operation without load and exceeding 13 kilometers under a 15-kilogram load.
Its 90 Nm peak torque and maximum speed of 5 meters per second, combined with IP54 waterproofing, enable stable operation in complex terrains like rainy conditions.
A video shared by Unitree demonstrates As2 carrying an adult weighing 105 kilograms.
The company has equipped the As2 with a bionic embodied large model and opened a secondary development ecosystem, supporting optional 7-axis dexterous robotic arms.
The product launch echoes Unitree's recent series of high-profile appearances.
During this year's Spring Festival Gala, Unitree's humanoid robots performed backflips from over 3 meters high and delivered the world's first fully autonomous group martial arts performance.
Earlier this month, its G1 robot autonomously walked over 130,000 steps in Xinjiang's extreme cold at -47°C.
Unitree founder Wang Xingxing told Cailian earlier this months that the company aims to ship 10,000 to 20,000 humanoid robots in 2026, a significant increase from 5,500 units in 2025.
However, Wang acknowledged that due to technical bottlenecks like embodied intelligence, humanoid robots remain in the early stages of application.
The launch of As2 may aim to first penetrate the industrial market with quadrupedal robots —a more mature technology category — paving the way for the longer-term commercialization of humanoid robots.
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Hangzhou, Unitree offers both consumer-grade and industrial-grade robotic products.
