Chinese smartphone maker Meizu announced today that it will be releasing the Flyme for Watch in the fourth quarter of this year, confirming that the company will be launching a smartwatch.

In fact, a smartwatch was featured on the eighth anniversary celebration poster released by Meizu yesterday.

The device features a square display and this will be the first time Meizu will launch a smartwatch.

The Meizu Flyme celebrated its 8th anniversary on June 25, and now the system has evolved to Flyme 8.1 experience version, accumulated more than 100 million users.

Meizu announced yesterday that Flyme based on Android 10 is now open for internal beta testers, and the first beta will be released on July 21.
