Alibaba has recently set up an intelligent search business unit, headed by Wu Jia, general manager of UC browser business unit, who reports to Zhu Shunyan, president of Alibaba's innovation business group, Sina Tech said, citing company insiders.
The business adjustment may focus on the intelligent search app that has been incubated by the innovation business group.
Previously, Wu Jia revealed the business layout of the combination of "search box + AI tools". It will upgrade search quality with an AI engine, while AI tools will be used to build a new search portal.
