OnePlus' partnership with McLaren has ended-CnTechPost

The partnership between OnePlus and McLaren has ended and the former will no longer produce the McLaren Edition.

In an emailed statement to Android Authority, a McLaren spokesperson said:

Our partnership with OnePlus, which came to its scheduled conclusion recently, has been a highly successful collaboration between two iconic and innovative brands.

Since the start of this partnership in 2018, OnePlus has been a supportive, valued partner and we wish them well and hope to see them in the future.

Last week, it was reported that OnePlusโ€™ partnership with McLaren might be coming to an end because the phone maker is no longer listed as a 2020 F1 partner on the McLaren website.

The short-lived partnership dates back to 2018, with OnePlus and McLaren collaborating on a number of collaborative products over the past two years.

The last was the OnePlus Concept One, with a disappearing camera and McLaren's signature papaya orange color.

Previous to that was the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Custom Edition and the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition.

So that also means that OnePlus 8 will not have the McLaren Edition.
