China Mobile, the country's largest telecom operator and China Broadcasting Network, which was established last year, have recently signed an agreement to jointly build 5G network.

In terms of 5G cooperation, both sides will keep their brands and operations independent, explore product and operation model innovation together, and carry out in-depth cooperation in content, platform, channel and customer service.

At present, the two sides are consulting on the specific programme of the cooperation framework agreement in accordance with the principle of marketization, based on the spirit of "sincere cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win".

Through cooperation, both sides can play the advantages of 5G technology, frequency resources, content, etc., to intensively and efficiently realize 5G network coverage.

Previously, China Unicom and China Telecom have recently announced separate announcements that they will jointly conduct pre-qualification of 5G SA wireless master equipment. The estimated project size is about 250,000 base stations, which is the SA wireless master required for China Telecom and China Unicom's related local network 5G construction. device.

According to the announcement, the two companies will start pre-qualification of centralized procurement from March 20, and the validity period will expire on September 30, 2020. In terms of technical requirements / product specifications, this centralized pre-qualification purchase of wireless master device including 5G SA BBU, AAU.

In terms of 5G construction plans, China Telecom plans to recover the construction progress affected by the epidemic in the first half of 2019. At the end of September, it will complete the construction of 250,000 5G base stations with China Unicom and strive to complete 300,000 5G base stations by the end of the year.
