Baidu Input Method for Linux released

Baidu Input Method for Linux has finally been released, providing a new input method option for Chinese users who use Linux.

I. Installation

1、Install through the software store

1) Open "Kirin Software Store" through the Start Menu.

2) Select "Baidu Input Method" and click install.

3) Reboot the system and follow the prompts to set up.

2、Download and install the deb package on the official website

1) Open the Baidu Input Judge Network (https://srf.baidu.com/site/guanwang_linux) and download the Baidu Input Method Linux installation package.

(2) Go to the download directory, decompress and enter the corresponding folder.

3) Install Baidu input method: sudo dpkg -i fcitx-baidupinyin.deb.

4) After installation, restart the system and follow the instructions to set up.

II. Use

Baidu input method for Linux supports pinyin/five strokes input, super full three-dimensional thesaurus to help accurate input; English input mode, set the default input English under the specified app, for example, in Eclipse, Sublime Text, Qt Creator and other applications, will automatically switch to English input; more features include intelligent error correction, cloud input, whole sentence association, etc.

You can also use the shortcut keys to set, such as: full half corner setting (shift+space), Chinese and English punctuation switch (Ctrl+...), Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese fonts switch (Ctrl+Shift+F), etc. ), and shortcuts (Ctrl+Shift+F), etc.
