Intel has now updated the CPU specs of Apple's new MacBook Pro 13 (Premium Edition) in the ARK database with two models, the i5-1038NG7 and i7-1068NG7, both with 28W TDP.
The first thing to note is that the i7-1068G7 and i5-1038G7 models released by Intel last year can no longer be found on the official website, which means that only Apple will carry the 28W models of the Ice Lake generation.
Apple's custom i5-1038NG7 and i7-1068NG7 release date is shown as Q2 2020, while the i7-1065G7 is Q3 2019.
In terms of specifications, all three processors are quad-core 8-threaded, with the i5-1038NG7 at 2GHz and 3.8GHz core; the i7-1068NG7 at 2.3GHz and 4.1GHz core; and the i7-1065G7 at 1.3GHz and 3.9GHz core, meaning that the 15W TDP of the i7-1065G7 does not reach the 4.1GHz maximum frequency of the i7-1068NG7 even with unlocked power.
In terms of memory support, all three processors are identical.
The i7-1068NG7 is identical to the i7-1065G7 and the i5-1038NG7 has a slightly lower GPU frequency.
In terms of packaging, the i7-1065G7 is FCBGA1526, while Apple's two custom models are FCBGA 1344, which means Apple's package size is smaller.
The two Apple customizations don't support Intel's Orpteron memory technology, as Apple doesn't use Orpteron memory either.
