Four months ago, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Chromebook 2020, arguably the most beautiful Chrome OS laptop ever made.
It has a beautiful red aluminum body, a 4K Super AMOLED touchscreen with DisplayHDR 400, and an S Pen stylus.
However, its battery doesn't last as long as Samsung advertises, and the company is already aware of this problem.
Most Galaxy Chromebook reviews praised the laptop's lively design and a great screen, but they also noted that despite being certified by the Athena program, its battery life is still below standard.
Samsung is fully aware of the Galaxy Chromebook's battery life issues. The company is not sitting idly by, and Samsung is working with Google to find out why the laptop's battery life is low.
The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook uses an Intel Core i5 10210U processor, which is a U-series model with 15W TDP.
On the other hand, most other Chromebooks use Intel Y-series processors and 5W TDP.
The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook features a 4K OLED screen that consumes a lot of power in certain situations while producing 700 nits of brightness.
Samsung and Google may be working on an updated CPU power regulator to allow processors to consume less power while performing easier tasks.
Google and Samsung can also use the laptops' ambient EQ sensors to reduce screen brightness under indoor conditions to make the display consume less power.
