Huawei reportedly will launch wireless headset with Kirin A1 chip
Huawei plans to launch more products with Kirin A1 chips in the near future, according to 91mobiles.
Zach Yang, director of marketing for Huawei's wearable and audio products, told 91mobiles in an online interaction that the company plans to expand the Kirin A1 product portfolio in 2020 and 2021, with new products including headphones, smart glasses, and smart speakers.
Last year, Huawei released the world ’s first BT / BLE dual-mode 5.1 wearable chip, Kirin A1, and launched the new wireless headset HUAWEI FreeBuds3 and smartwatch HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 equipped with Kirin A1.
Kirin A1 is Huawei's first wearable chip that supports both wireless audio devices and smartwatches and has obtained Bluetooth 5.1 and Bluetooth Low Power 5.1 standard certification.
It integrates Bluetooth processing unit, audio processing unit, ultra-low-power application processor, and independent high-efficiency power management unit in the compact size of 4.3mm * 4.4mm.
In order to solve the problem of stuck and disconnected headphones caused by Bluetooth and signal interference, Kirin AI self-developed dual-channel synchronous transmission technology can achieve two headphones to obtain the left and right channel signals directly from the mobile phone.
It communicates directly with the mobile phone, avoiding interference between the two headsets, reducing the power consumption of synchronous transmission by 50% and delay by 30%.
Kirin A1 uses the unique BT-UHD ultra-high-definition Bluetooth codec technology, the ultimate transmission bandwidth can be up to 6.5 Mbps, which is 2.8 times the transmission speed of the Bluetooth standard (2.1Mbps).
