Douyu, the largest game-centric live streaming platform in China, has recently launched a new feature called "Douyu Shopping", which means that Douyu has also begun to try the business of selling goods in live video streaming.

According to Li Kun, the head of Douyu's marketing center, Douyu has always been open to business model innovation. The platform's ability to promote sales of games in the e-sports industry is obvious to all.

"Douyu Shopping" is just a brand-new attempt to meet the diversified consumption needs of users beyond the game recommendation, he said.

Douyu took on the ecommerce efforts in December 2019. By March of this year, Douyu has started cooperation with sports brands such as Adidas and Nike.

Among the goods that Douyu tried to promote, in addition to the daily necessities and food products of the public, sports, tide brand, and digital products suitable for men have also become the key recommended products by the anchors.
