Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) recorded revenue of approximately $3.116 billion in 2019 with a gross margin of 20.6%, according to the company's filing.
Net profit attributable to SMIC was $235 million in 2019; profit before tax, interest, depreciation and amortization was $1.37 billion, a record high.
Revenue from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, the United States, and Eurasia accounted for 59.5%, 26.4%, and 14.1%, respectively.
In a letter to shareholders, SMIC stated that the first generation of 14nm FinFET technology has entered mass production and will contribute about 1% of wafer revenue in the fourth quarter of 2019 and is expected to increase in volume in 2020.
