The Jack Ma Foundation delivered the first batch of medical supplies donated to the Philippine Ministry of Health through Philippine Boxer and Senator Pacquiao, and arrived in Manila on March 27.
On the same day, Philippine boxer and senator Pacquiao handed over 57,600 new crown pneumonia test kits to the Philippine Ministry of Health.
Pacquiao said the kits were donated to the Philippine government by the Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation through his Manny Pacquiao Foundation.
The Jack Ma Foundation and the Alibaba Foundation said in a joint statement: "I hope that these donations will help the Philippines fight against new crown pneumonia. We are doing our best to race against time to overcome the difficulties in transporting basic medical supplies and help fight the new crown pneumonia globally. "
The Jack Ma Foundation earlier pledged to donate 500,000 masks and 50,000 new crown pneumonia tests in the Philippines. The second batch of medical supplies is expected to arrive in the Philippines next week.
According to the Philippine Ministry of Health, on March 27, 96 new patients with new coronary pneumonia were diagnosed in the country, and 9 deaths were reported. To date, a total of 803 patients have been diagnosed in the country, 54 have died and 31 have recovered.
