According to XDA Developers, OnePlus mobile phone users will soon be able to use the forced system-level dark mode, so that users can use dark themes even if the app does not support the dark mode.
By 2020, dark mode is supported by almost all major operating systems as it has become more popular in the past few years.ย However, it's up to the developer to decide whether the application will use dark mode.
OnePlus OxygenOS 10 already supports ssystem-wide dark mode, but OnePlus hopes to take another step and hope to implement it in applications that do not support the dark mode feature.
XDADevelopers found some evidence in the latest OxygenOS Open Beta releases for OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro, suggesting that dark mode will be enforced in applications that are not yet supported.
As shown in the figure, the forced dark mode function can be turned on or off by simply entering the OxygenOS settings application.ย OnePlus will also warn you that enabling this feature may affect the overall performance of some applications.
The concept of forced dark mode is not new.ย This feature has been added to other Android UIs.
