On March 15, BYD and 6 companies including China Resources Vanguard, NUS Pharmacy, Neptune, North-South Medicine, Dingdang Express, and China United Pharmacy reached an agreement to put 15 million masks on the Shenzhen market.
BYD will supply a total of 15 million disposable medical masks from March 16, 2020 to March 31, 2020 to China Resources Vanguard, NUS Pharmacy, Neptune Star, North-South Medicine, Dingdang Express, and China United Pharmacy.
China Resources Vanguard, NUS Pharmacy, Neptune Star, North and South Medicine, Dingdang Express, and China United Pharmacy promised that the aforementioned BYD supply masks would only be sold in the Shenzhen market.
They will sell to Shenzhen residents through various offline stores and self-operated websites in the Shenzhen jurisdiction. The sales price of each mask is not higher than 2.5 yuan.
BYD's mask production line and disinfection gel production line are in full-load operation, with daily production capacity of 5 million and 300,000 bottles respectively.
Official BYD said that as one of the world's largest new energy vehicle companies, BYD has acquired a new identity-the world's largest mass production mask factory.
BYD said that its production of masks is increasing at a rate of 300,000 to 500,000 tablets per day, and about 5-10 new mask machines per day can achieve mass production. Currently, it has reached the capacity of 5 million masks per day, which is equivalent to the previous national 1/4 of production capacity.
