Lenovo's 2-billion manufacturing base in Shenzhen starts construction

Lenovo's South Intelligent Manufacturing Base project in Shenzhen started construction today, Lenovo said.

The project has a total investment of 2 billion yuan and a construction scale of about 280,000 square meters. The product not only covers Lenovo's traditional businesses such as personal computers and servers, but also will host emerging businesses such as various intelligent products and cover more than 170 countries worldwide. It is planned to be completed and put into production within 3 years, achieving an annual output of 15 million units of personal computers, servers and smart devices, with an output value of 40 billion yuan.

Lenovo claims that the base will serve as a model for "digital manufacturing" and "globalization 4.0", accelerating the realization of industrial intelligence in Shenzhen and Guangming District, and injecting digital power into the economic transformation and upgrading.
