Carbon fiber is a new type of fiber material with high strength and high modulus fiber with a carbon content of more than 95%. Its density is only half that of aluminum alloy and 1/5 of stainless steel, but the tensile strength is more than four times that of steel.
Previously, many top notebooks would use carbon fiber casings, but so far, few smartphones using carbon fiber materials have been seen.
Recently, Berlin-based German company Carbon Mobile launched the new smartphone Carbon 1 MK II, which is the industry's first Android phone using carbon fiber material.
The Carbon 1 MK II phone uses a 6.0-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of up to 2160x1080.
In fact, because this phone does not use a full-screen design, it is much larger than other 6-inch Android phones.
But with the blessing of carbon fiber, this phone is only 6.3mm thick and weighs only 125g.
For comparison, the iPhone 4 with a 3.5-inch screen weighs 140g, and the Mi 6 with a screen size of 5.15 inches weighs 168g. Today, mobile phones with a screen size of more than 6 inches generally have a weight of more than 200g.
In terms of configuration, the Carbon 1 MK II phone is based on the eight-core processor of the MediaTek Helio P90, with a storage configuration of 8GB + 128GB, a rear 16 million dual cameras, a built-in 3050mAh battery, and support for NFC.
The Carbon 1 MK II phone will be available on the market this summer for 800 euros.
