Huawei held a product launch conference in Barcelona on February 24. Wi-Fi 6 is one of the hot new technologies in the industry. Compared with Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6 has the advantages of high bandwidth, high concurrency, low latency, and low power consumption.
According to Huawei, during the formulation of the Wi-Fi 6 standard, Huawei submitted 240 technical proposals and is a TOP 2 contributor to the Wi-Fi 6 standard.
This time Huawei introduced Wi-Fi 6+ technology, saying that it mainly brings two major features:
The first is end-to-end support of a very large bandwidth of 160MHz and enjoy double speed at close range;
The second is dynamic narrow bandwidth technology. Messages are automatically fragmented as needed to ensure that terminal equipment such as routers and mobile phones can work stably in narrow bandwidth mode. The power spectrum density of mobile phones and other terminal sides can be improved to achieve the effect of passing through a wall.
In simple terms, it is twice as fast at short distances and an additional wall for long distances.
For the launch of Wi-Fi 6+, Huawei has two end-to-end self-developed Wi-Fi 6+ chips. One is Lingxiao 650, which will be used in Huawei routers; the other is Kirin W650, which will be used in Huawei mobile phones and other terminal equipment.
Huawei also launched the Huawei Router AX3, which uses Huawei Wi-Fi 6+ technology, so that all devices such as routers and mobile phones support 160MHz ultra-wide bandwidth. Compared with ordinary Wi-Fi 6 devices, it is twice as fast and has better signal penetration capabilities.
