Parents can set the time for TikTok for their children. Once this limit is reached on the phone, you need to enter a password to continue browsing TikTok. The purpose is to encourage people to "build a healthy relationship with online applications and services."
TikTok's family safety model also allows parents to restrict who can send messages to their children or turn off messaging completely. They can also limit the types of content that children can see when using the app.
The family safety model is currently available in the UK and will be rolled out to other markets in the coming weeks.
