Huawei P40 and P40 Pro series phones will support Wi-Fi 6+ technology, which was developed by Huawei itself, according to Chinastarmarket reports.
The report states that Wi-Fi 6+ is Huawei's self-developed technology. It will be used in new Huawei P40 series machines and will also be used in new routers to be released on February 24.
The 802.11 series of standards released by IEEE can be divided into 6 generations. The latest 802.11ax is named Wi-Fi 6, and the maximum throughput can reach 9.6Gbps.
Wi-Fi 6 is 2.7 times Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac, released in 2012) and 16 times Wi-Fi 4 (most commonly used 802.11n, released in 2009).
It is expected that the new flagship mobile phones will support the Wi-Fi 6 wireless standard in 2020, becoming standard features of flagship mobile phones. There are no more details about Huawei's self-developed Wi-Fi 6+ technology.
On February 24, Huawei's Mate Xs folding screen phone will appear at the February 24 press conference, and the new Huawei P40 series will be released in Europe around March.
