The Chinese market has become the largest contributor to the global 5G market, contributing 46% of 5G mobile phone sales in 2019, according to data from market researcher Counterpoint.
Among them, Huawei still plays a leading role, and Huawei (including Honor) accounts for 74% of China's 5G mobile phone sales.
The data also shows that the sales volume of China's smartphone market in 2019 decreased by 8% year-on-year, which is larger than the sales volume of the global smartphone market, which decreased to 3% in 2019.
When major OEMs are down, such as OPPO (down 12% yoy), vivo (down 6% yoy), Xiaomi (down 22% yoy), Apple (up 26% yoy) and so on.
Huawei (including Honor) has risen against the trend, growing 28% throughout the year, occupying more than one-third of China's largest smartphone market.
Globally, it is still Samsung's number one, leading global 5G mobile phone sales with a market share of more than 40%.
Another change is the change in the global mobile phone price range. The Counterpoint report states that the price range of $600 to $800 increased by 33% year-on-year and accounted for 6% of total sales, compared to 4% in 2018.
The main reason for this change comes from the popularization of Apple iPhone 11 series and Huawei M/P series.
Huawei also leads the $ 200 to $ 600 price range and ranks among the top three in all other price ranges.
